Nadleh Whut’en Ormonde Lake Reserve (the Reserve) is off the BC Hydro power grid and provides all its own electricity from diesel and gasoline generators. The Reserve is populated for 7 months of the year (April – Oct) and the facilities are leased by the Carrier Sekani Health Authority (CSHA). CSHA pays for the diesel, gasoline, and propane used on the Reserve, while Nadleh Whut’en First Nation owns the generators and pays for the regular maintenance.
