UN Human Rights Council Urges Canada to Do More for Indigenous Women and Girls

Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould represented Canada in the UN's third Universal Periodic Review of human rights. Members of the United Nations Human Rights Council advised Canada to do more to improve the treatment of Indignous women and girls, including providing support for the national inquiry into missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and looking for solutions to the overrepresentation of Indigenous women in prison.
